“Think not of yourself as the architect of your career but as the sculptor. Expect to have to do a lot of hard hammering and chiseling and scraping and polishing.” ~ B.C. Forbes
Jacqueline
My professional journey in healthcare began in the 1990s, following a fulfilling three-year tenure as a social worker at The Children's Home Society of Florida. While I initially believed that teaching and social work were my true calling, I soon realized a crucial element was missing. It was during my mother's third battle with cancer that I discovered the third piece of my career life balance was healthcare management.
As an Operation Director my role extends beyond providing excellent care to patients. It's about guiding them through the social economics of their lives, and most importantly, it's about empowering our staff to be exceptional stewards of healthcare. Investing in our staff's development can significantly enhance the quality of our healthcare services.
Medicine is an evolution of change, not static but fluid with waves and currents. Healthcare is not about caring for our patients when they're sick but building their healthcare around wellness, preventive care, and monitoring their social economics. As our consumers, our patients deserve the best possible care available.
I quickly found my first position as a Practice Manager in a Psychiatric Medical Practice in Boca Raton, Florida. Here, I was allowed to build my operations foundation, which allowed me to develop my expertise and knowledge of healthcare management, CMS billing principles, leadership development, Information Technology, and communication tools. I also groomed doctors on their daily dilemmas to make them more efficient and effective. From there, I took off running a marathon.
My career range has been diverse, spanning several modalities of healthcare. I have worked in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/Gyn, Maternal-Fetal, Perinatology, Women's Oncology, Pain Management, Neuroscientist and Neurology, Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Gastroenterology, General, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgery, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary and Cardiology, and Medical Oncology. This breadth of experience has enriched my understanding of healthcare and equipped me with a unique perspective.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various healthcare modalities, including private practice medicine, hospital-based care, medical group medicine, and private equity healthcare. I later honed my skills in information technology installation, implementation, and training of EMR systems.
This journey has given me a life entirely of purpose and perseverance. This diversification and experience of creating a team that is passionate about our work keep me agile and at the top of my game. It has also equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management and the ability to ensure care is delivered at the right place and Time.
My titles have changed from Information Technologist Specialist to National Resolution Manager, Practice Administration, Executive Director, Operations Director, Chief Operating Officer, Interim Director of Operations and Consulting, and Project Coordinator with the role out of Physician-Based Billing and Rural Health Clinics.
My true passion started seven years ago when a friend called asking if I would ever do interim Management and Consulting; the more I listened, the more I realized I could help. So, I got a bag, and I was lifted off. Luckily, my husband is a fantastic supporter, and he could not see any negative feelings about me not taking on this role other than missing out on raising our kids.
Seven years ago, I received a call from a man asking me if I would consider Interim Health Care. These experiences expanded my industry knowledge more profoundly than I thought possible. "It is health that is real wealth, not pieces of gold and silver." Mahatma Gandhi.
I am a healthcare advocate looking for operational excellence to deliver state-of-the-art care and prolong the lives of those we love. Most importantly, harboring raw or advanced employees is a treasure; to blend in as a leader is to teach. Ben Franklin summarized operation excellence, Lean Six Sigma, or any quality improvement program, as the main ingredients to build outstanding teams, processes, and outcomes. He must follow his simple words: "Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember; involve me, and I will learn.' A brilliant man who lived 84 years in the 1700s; if this man could live 84 years over 234 years, then as healthcare leaders in 2024, and what we know now about healthcare wellness, we should have more patients living 90-100 years.
Working with employees that are empathic and want to make a difference in their community and with our patients.
I am thrilled to meet you!

Early Career History
Experience
Creative Work & Projects
During my senior-level executive career, I coordinated and managed multiple projects directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. I also built credibility, established rapport, and maintained communication with stakeholders at various levels, including those external to the organization.
Define and initiate projects and manage the cost, schedule, and performance of component projects while working to ensure the program's ultimate success and acceptance. Explore many projects and initiatives that were led in my direction.
Let's Breath - Living in a community where snowbirds come in flocks, seasonal influxes are drastic, a daily census of 300 patients per day will jump to a daily count of 850 patients a day, stress levels and fatigue are high, finding time to decompress while looking forward to a manageable daily census.
Sometimes, it is the ability to be creative, present, and have fun. To be a team leader, you need to shake things up and engage with your team, physicians, and staff outside of your comfort zone. You look for ways to be innovative; sometimes, you have to be creative, so you hit the pause button, regroup, and paint.
National Healing Annual Conference 2010 - Lead Program Director presenter for Physician Recruitment. Responsible for leading a group of 8 presenters and the development of the PowerPoint presentation. The topic was to help junior program directors understand how to recruit physicians and then how to retain them. Physician Recruitment
The Christ Hospital Wound Center was a department of the Heart and Vascular Department. The hospital was known for its innovation in heart health. The hospital was a committed sponsor of the American Heart Association, specifically the Go Red Campaign. We were inspired to Spread the Red to young females across greater Cincinnati by teaching Heart Disease in Women. TCH partnered with the Girl Scouts of America and the American Heart Association; I chaired the development of a unique patch program to stop heart disease in women. The program was a day-long outing to the hospital that included a day filled with fun activities, such as visiting the Cathlab, ultrasound of the heart, listening to their hearts, heart-healthy exercise, and a heart-healthy tour of a grocery store. Our first event sold out with over 350 Daisies, Brownies, and Girl Scouters across Greater Cincinnati. Spread the Red
